Merry Christmas, Elizabeth and Ted! We’re glad you don’t have any snow to shovel. Hope you both are keeping warm and having a lovely holiday. So glad you’re sending us messages on this site! We’re excited to get to keep in touch with you.
Merry Christmas Mike and Delphine, from Algonquin, IL where I am spending the holidays with Jess & Max. I see you are both the surfing Santa helper elf representatives. Ha! that’s a mouthful. I love seeing you live your dream since you are both a wonderful example for the rest of us as you inspire me through your experiences, to live mine. Thanks for that gift of sharing it with us. May your journey continue to be blessed with unforgetable heart-filling joyous memories.
In love and light, this Christmas morning,
Karolee
Merry Christmas! What lovely things are you both cooking up right now? We miss eating with you guys (and just hanging out of course, but we loved our meals together!). Tell your mom, dad and Alan hi from us please!
Hi Diane,
We’ve been keeping separate track of our international transportation. So far, we’ve spent $2250 for flights to Oaxaca from NYC, our upcoming flights from Panama City to Quito, Ecuador, all our bus travel between Mexico and Bocas Del Toro, board fees on flights, and tourist entry costs to all countries that require them.
We checked airfares for our rough itinerary when we were budgeting for the trip, and came up with a ballpark figure for plane tickets. We’re buying one-way tickets as we go. But so many variables are changing over two years; fuel prices might skyrocket, or airlines might undercut each other more. We’re prepared to eliminate some destinations if need be, and just stay longer in others, to fit our budget.
Thanks for emailing, and hope you keep following our blog. Happy holidays!
I cant immagin doing that in a Santa suit so the hat is adequate and fitting

Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year, Camille! Please say hi to Chris, Melissa and the girls for us.
Have a wonderful surfing-New Year, Delphine and Michael. Thinking about you out there brightens my very grey Ontario day. Love to you both, Elizabeth.
We hope you have a great New Year as well! Love from both of us to both of you.
Merry Christmas From Brent and Marie! We finally left Popoyo and following your trail to Granada! We wish you a lot of great waves for 2012!
Hey Marie and Brent! Let us know how you like Granada — did you try El Zaguan? We went there for Michael’s birthday dinner and it was delicious!
And I forgot to add — Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I was too busy thinking about those amazing steaks…
